Amanda Glaza

Amanda Glaza joined the GRCC coaching staff in 2017, and this will be her third season as an assistant coach for the Raiders. Prior to joining the coaching staff at GRCC, Amanda spent a few years as a youth travel coach with the Michigan Volleyball Academy. 

Glaza spent her playing career at Grand Rapids Community College (2013-2014) and Grand Valley State University (2015-2016) where she played as the teams libero. In her freshman and sophomore seasons for the Raiders, Glaza played in all 74 matches, mostly as the libero. She earned MCCAA Western Conference accolades, NJCAA Region XII All-Tournament Team and Oakland Community College All-Tournament Team honors. During her time with the Raiders, she helped the team to a conference championship, back-to-back NJCAA region XII championships, back-to-back NJCAA DII National tournament appearances, as well as a 6th place finish at the NJCAA DII National Championships, which is the 2nd highest finish in program history to date. 
After a successful career at GRCC, Glaza transferred to Grand Valley State University for her junior and senior seaons. She concluded her collegiate playing career by being named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team, and finishing her collegiate career with 1,323 digs, 256 assists, and 82 service aces. Glaza and the Lakers made an NCAA tournament appearance, and finished third in the GLIAC. 

Glaza graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and a Business Minor. She is currently pursing her Masters in College Counseling.
