Amanda Glaza joined the GRCC coaching staff in 2017 and this will be her second season as an assistant coach for the Raiders.
In 2013 Glaza played in all 41 matches, mostly as the libero and earned MCCAA Western Conference Second Team Honors, District F All-Tournament Team, and Oakland Community College All-Tournament Team Honors. That season she had a team high 151 of the Raiders 152 sets. In 2013 she recorded 614 digs, 130 assists, 38 aces, and four kills and helped lead the Raiders to a sixth place overall finish at nationals.
In 2014 she picked up a team high 469 digs (4.11 per set), recorded 86 assists, and 24 service aces, and was aced just nine times in 33 matches for the Raiders. That year the Raiders finished 27-6 overall as well as 14-0 in the conference.
After two seasons at Grand Rapids Community College, Glaza transferred to Grand Valley State University (GVSU) where she played as a libero for the Lakers and was named to the GLIAC All-Academic Team. During her collegiate career she recorded a total of 1,323 digs, 256 assists, and 82 service aces.
Glaza graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2017, with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management and a Business Minor.
