While at Otsego High School:
She lined up at outside hitter and setter for head coach Candace Holmes. A four year letter winner in both volleyball and basketball, Metz was a four-time All-Conference and All-County selection for the Knights. She also received Most Improved and Most Valuable Player honors on both the volleyball and tennis teams. She also played on the Knights' junior varsity softball team. Metz was a member of the National Honor Society and Student Council. She also served as her Class Secretary and was a four-year member of the 4.0 Honor Roll.
