Biography

PREP: Ervin was an explosive scorer, averaging 18.0 points, who also led the Highlanders in assists (3.1) and steals. He hit 60 3-pointers while displaying tremendous range. He scored 26 and 24 points in two games against New Albany. He earned All-Area First Team after his remarkable senior season.

“He can make some unbelievable individual plays,” Floyd Central coach Todd Sturgeon said.

“That kid is something else,” New Albany coach Jim Shannon said. “He’s a sparkplug and I never really felt comfortable until I saw him to the bench.”
