Zach Ingles

Zach Ingles enters his third season on the men's basketball staff at GRCC. Ingles began his coaching career at Aquinas College where he served under head coach Dave Hammer. As an assistant at Aquinas, Ingles was responsible for video preparation, film breakdown, recruiting and the handling of all perimeter players. Coach Ingles was also in charge for monitoring the academic progress of certain Men's Basketball players.
 
Prior to his coaching days, Ingles had spent the previous five years playing professional basketball throughout Europe, Asia and South America. During his career abroad Ingles played in countries such as  Iceland, Slovakia, Qatar, Lebanon, Mexico and Argentina. The highlight of his time abroad was playing and studying under 2004 Olympic Gold Medal Coach Fernando Duro. Duro led the Argentine National Team to the Gold Medal in Athens, Greece in 2004.

Ingles played collegiate basketball for two year years at Pasco- Hernando JC (2002-04) in Tampa, Florida. While at PHCC Ingles set numerous scoring an assist records and was a 2003-2004 SunCoast Conference player of the year and a 3rd team NJCAA All-American. His school record of 46 points still stands. Following the conclusion of his  Junior College career, Ingles transfered to NCAA 1 Eastern Kentucky University. As a member of the all newcomber team and all Ohio Valley Conference Tournament team, Ingles helped the  2004-05 EKU Colonels  win a school-record 22 games and earn a spot in the 2005 NCAA tournament .

A native of Greenville Mi. , Ingles is the 14th all time leading scorer in MHSAA History and currently holds 19 GHS School records. He and his wife reside in Greenville, and are the proud parents of three girls.
