Assistant Coach Matt Burton

Matt Burton

Entering his fourth season at GRCC, Burton is in charge post play for the Raiders basketball team.  He has spent 12 years coaching at the high school level, serving time at Grand Rapids Catholic Central, East Kentwood, and Grand Rapids Christian High Schools.

Coach Burton graduated from Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Physical Education and Psychology and received his Masters Degree from Western Michigan University in Educational Leadership.

Coach Burton resides in Kentwood with his wife and two boys.   He currently teaches at East Kentwood High School and is also an Assistant Coach for their boys’ track and field team.
