Biography

Hathaway enjoyed a successful three-year varsity baseball career for the Cougars of Dakota High School before moving on to play for Culver-Stockton College (Mo.) and then GRCC.  The 2012 Dakota graduate helped the Cougars take home a district championship during his junior campaign with a 1-0 win over Anchor Bay.

Hathaway and high school teammate, Chase Younkin, played for NAIA's Culver-Stockon, where Hathaway appeared in 20 games, starting 16, and hit .283 with 17 hits and 14 runs scored.

In his one season at GRCC in 2014, Hathaway appeared in 27 games and went on to hit .280 with a .400 on-base percentage. The outfielder connected for 17 runs batted in on seven doubles and a triple.

The outfielder played six years of travel ball with the Anchor Bay Angels and spent a pair of seasons with the Michigan Dawgs. Hathaway's travel playing days were highlighted by a championship at the 2010 Omaha Slumpbuster tournament.
