The Raiders have been a part of the MCCAA Conference since the 1975-76 season and a member of the NJCAA since 1974-75. Before then, they were associated with the AIAW (Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women). The MCCAA was always split into an Eastern Conference and a Western Conference until 2022, when the Northern Conference was established. Up until 1998, everyone in the conference was classified as NJCAA Division I. Since then, the Raiders have been participated at the NJCAA Division II level. In 2000, the Region was broken up into two districts with teams from the MCCAA and OCCAC, with both champions advancing to the 16 team National Tournament. In 2023, the field expanded to 20 teams with four at-large bids.
Since 1999, the Raiders have won 14 conference titles, 11 MCCAA titles, 13 Region/District titles and have participated in 11 National Tournaments. In 2012, Chip Will's Raiders won the programs first ever National Championship. That also marked the first ever National Championship for any women's team in GRCC history.
The Raider volleyball program has had numerous individuals receive post season honors every year including 14 NJCAA Athletic All-American's (13 of those since 2008). Six Raiders have been named 1st Team All-American, including Nicole Peter (2008), Katie Horling (2009), Kelsey Darling (2011), Kaitlin Wolters (2012), Kendra DeJonge (2018) and Annie Holesinger (2021).
