Academic Support - Student being tutored in a study lab

Being a successful student-athlete at GRCC is not easy. The decision to become a successful student-athlete means that you will have many priorities-none being insignificant. While here you will have to manage: study time, class time, practices, games, work, family & social time, and time to relax. In order to manage your time well, you must be capable of evaluating your long-term goals against your day-to-day schedule to determine what must be done. From a long-term perspective, we value your academic success most and will always encourage you to plan your goals around the academic plan you, your counselor and our Student Athlete Academic Support Team has constructed for you. Setting your goals as a student-athlete around your academic plan is the first step to success. Being a collegiate athlete is a tremendous honor, but you must be a student before you're an athlete. We encourage you to use all of the resources listed below here at GRCC to help you become personally successful, and we want you to know that every member of our staff is here to help. Find one of us anytime, and we'll help you find your path to success.

Student-Athlete Academic Support

Part of what makes being a Raider unique is our dedicated Student-Athlete Mentorship Program. Our program exists to ensure that our student-athletes have the resources necessary to be a successful when they have the free time. Designed around class, practice and games schedules, student-athletes take part in our study table sessions where we will have student-athlete mentors as well as our Student-Athlete Navigator available to help our student-athletes succeed academically.

GRCC offers free walk-in tutoring sessions at many locations on campus for any student attending classes that semester. Regardless of the length of the essay you must write or the seeming disparity in the equation you must solve, we have the tools here to help you learn, solve, and find success.
