March 19, 2024, ROCKFORD, Mich. -- The Grand Rapids Community College baseball team remained hot after dismantling Aquinas College's junior varsity squad by a final of 19-3 on Tuesday.
Winners of nine of its last 10 games, the Raiders racked up season highs in runs, 19, and hits, 23. It also had zero errors for the fourth time this season.
A total of 18 players had an at-bat, and 14 players had at least one hit, including season firsts for Devin Chilton, Isaac Stetler and J.T. Ten Eyck (double).
Trevin Laming (3-for-3, 3 RBI) and Dylan Nguyen (3-for-4, 2 RBI) each hit their team leading fourth home run of the year. Ty Sandwick (3-for-4, 3 RBI) also had a four bagger, his first of the season.
Chad Fisher also had three hits, with two RBI and a stolen base.
Walker Brockie (1-1) picked up the win in relief for the Raiders, allowing no hits and striking out two in three innings of work.
GRCC will be back on the field on Tuesday, March 26 at Calvin University.
