Nov. 28, 2023, MIDLAND, Mich. – Tristan McRoberts led the Grand Rapids Community College men's basketball team to a 98-92 win against Northwood University's junior varsity squad on Tuesday night. 

McRoberts scored a team-high 28 points on an efficient 11 of 15 from the floor, 2-for-3 from three point range and a perfect 4-for-4 from the charity stripe. He also had a team-high nine rebounds.

In a game of 10 lead changes and seven ties, McRoberts' free throws with 5:41 remaining gave the Raiders an 83-81 lead.  The team wouldn't trail the remainder of the game. 

Joe Francis scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds and led the team with four assists. 

Darrell Belcher added 14 points and five rebounds.  Jovante Jones had 13 points and a game-high three steals. 

GRCC (5-4) is back in action on Dec. 2 at home against Schoolcraft College.
