Despite a slow start, the Raiders were able to rebound to close out the 5 set match. The sophomore class has only gone 5 sets twice during their career, with both times recording wins.

Returning All-American
Kendra DeJonge delivered a team-high 24 kills and hit .244, while serving up another team-high 4 aces and adding 12 digs.
Freshman
Danielle Johnston shined in her first collegiate match where she had 14 kills with just 3 errors on 33 attempts.

Sophomore Middle Blockers
Ally German and
Kayla Salyer were solid in the middle, combining for 17 kills and 5 blocks. German led the Raiders with a .353 hitting percentage.

Autumn Severn led the Raiders offense with a career high and a double-double, 49 assists and 10 digs.
Freshman
Katelynn Kietzman played solid defense to lead the Raiders with 26 digs, good for 5.2 digs per set and also picked up a service ace. Freshman
Jamie Wellet picked up 6 digs, and Defensive specialists
Kelsie Schultz,
Samantha White, and
Jasmine Wellet combine for 7 digs.
Despite the Raiders starting the fifth set down 0-3, the Raiders were able to side out and limit the Vikings to scoring just four more points during the fifth set. Sophomore defensive specialist, Kelsie Schultz came in off the bench to serve back-to-back aces, and the last 3 match points to secure the victory for the Raiders.
The Raiders move to an overall 1-0 record, and Glen Oaks moves to a record of 4-2 overall and 0-2 in conference.
The Raiders take on #20 Muskegon this Thursday, August 30 at 6:30 PM. The match will be held at Northview High School.
