Caledonia, MICH – After clenching a berth into the
2018 NJCAA Region XII Tournament with four-straight wins against Glen Oaks Community College this past weekend, GRCC's baseball team also punched their ticket for entry into the
MCCAA Championship / Regional Seeding Tournament. The Raiders, along with Western Conference Rivals Kellogg and Kalamazoo the top seeds in Region XII Play.
Grand Rapids hosts this year's tournament at
Davenport University's Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex on Thursday, May 10
th 2018 with Grand Rapids and Macomb kicking things off with a 11:00AM. Macomb is 14-14 in MCCAA play and 22-25 overall.
Grand Rapids is 15-9 in MCCAA play this season while 22-22 overall.
At 2:30 Kalamazoo Valley will square off against Jackson College. Kalamazoo has a 17-7 MCCAA record while 22-16 overall. Jackson is 20-8 in MCCAA play with a 30-14 record.
At 6:00PM the top of the West faces the top of the east as 23-1, 38-6 #2 ranked Kellogg Community College takes on 24-4, 39-9 #5 ranked Lansing Community College for the state title.
Regardless of the outcome, all six team will compete in this year's
NJCAA Region XII Tournament held at Sports Force Park in Sandusky, OH. Tournament action will commence on May 16
th at 10:00AM.
