Box Score The Raiders started out their season as one of only two teams in the MCCAA scheduled to play. Last night GRCC took on Grace Christian University's JV squad but the Raiders brought out full force to take home the victory 96 to 87.
The Raiders started out with an early lead and began establishing a rhythm that would carry them throughout the game. Ending the first half with a huge 3 from
Sammie Ryans was just one of the many highlights from the game.
Ryans would lead the team with 26 total points and was one of four Raiders to hit double digit numbers on the night. Of
Ryans' 26 points, 4 of which were beyond the three point line, he also tacked on 9 rebounds.
William Otole had 21 points, leading the team in 3's with 5 total.
Ike Kanu and
David Hearns had 8 rebounds each.
Diago Robinson and
Kanu added and 15 points. GRCC shot .628 from the field and .478 from the three point line.
The Raiders take the court again next Friday, November 9
th at the KVCC Showcase in Kalamazoo. Their first game of the tournament will be against Schoolcraft at 3 PM. The following day GRCC takes on #14 Delta College at 1 PM.
