Grand Rapids, MICH -- GRCC's men's basketball team visits Kalamazoo Valley Community College tomorrow for a 3PM game with the Cougars, now 2-5 in conference play and 5-14 overall. Grand Rapids is tied for 4
th in the MCCAA West with a 4-3 conference record while 12-6 overall after picking up a 99-69 win over a struggling Kellogg Community College team.
GRCC's women's team, now 3-4 in Western Conference play and tied for 5
th in the West, has the day off as KVCC's women's team canceled the remainder of their season. GRCC's women also dealt Kellogg's Bruins a loss this week with
Hallee Breimayer leading the offense with 20 points and 11 assists in the 69-40 win. Breimayer added 8 steals and 8 rebounds before the game's end.
Caleb Eustice and Tanner Eubank lead KVCC in scoring going into tomorrow's contest with 14.9 and 14.4 point per game averages so far in 2018. Eubank also leads the team in assists per game with 5.2 with Eustice trailing with 3.9. Mike Dyson leads the Cougars in rebounding with 9.4 per game.
GRCC's
Curtis Davison leads the Raiders in points per game with 24.7 shooting .419 from the field. That scoring figure is good for the third highest average in NJCAA DII.
Gregory Robinson leads GRCC in rebounds with 178 total for 9.9 per game.
Anthony McIntosh leads the team in assists with 85 for a 5 per game average while adding 18.9 points per game.
GRCC Basketball hosts Mid-Michigan Community College next Wednesday. Mid-Michigan's women's team is in a four-way tie for first in the West with Ancilla, Lake Michigan and
Muskegon with each team hold at 5-1 record in conference play. Mid-Michigan's men's team is one game behind the Raiders with a 3-4 Western Conference record.
