Box Score 2 Grand Rapids, MICH – GRCC's men's and women's basketball teams travel to Centerville, MI this Saturday to face Glen Oaks with the women's team tipping off at 1PM and the men following at 3PM.
GRCC's women hold a 8-5 overall record and are now 1-2 in MCCAA West play after falling to Lansing Community College on Wednesday 64-72.
Hallee Breimayer led GRCC in scoring against the starts with 18 points.
Makayla Beld finished with a 15 point, 10 rebound double-double.
Mya Jordan missed her double-double by a rebound finishing with 10 points and 9 rebounds. She led the team in assists with 6.
Lansing's Kelsey Finch led the Charge for the Stars with 28 points adding 9 rebounds. Lindsay Crim led LCC in rebounds with 12. Four Stars had three steals before the night's end and Lansing finished the game with 14 total.
Glen Oak's women's team will start the game with a 1-10 overall record while winless in MCCAA West play ranked last in the West.
GRCC's men fared better against Lansing as they beat the starts 84-73 to improve to 10-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
Gregory Robinson finished the game with a 15 point, and team-high 16 rebound, double-double.
Curtis Davison led the team in scoring with 23 points.
Anthony McIntosh led the Raiders in assists with 7 and blocks with 2 while adding 17 points.
Glen Oaks' men's team also enters Saturday's game last in the MCCAA West now 0-3 in conference play and 3-11 overall.
The Raiders have a few days off from competition following Saturday's matchups before hosting Lake Michigan on Wednesday the 17
th of January.
