Box Score 2 Grand Rapids, Mich -- The Raider baseball team will play host to Davenport JV—at Davenport—for a double header today starting at 3:00 PM as the Saturday matchup between both teams was canceled.
The Raiders are coming off a pair of wins against Macomb Community College on Tuesday where GRCC took both winning 9-5 and 6-5.
Cameron Brayman led GRCC in the first game hitting 4-of-5 with 4 RBI.
Seth Stephens recorded the only other RBI batting 1-for-3.
Andrew Bojas earned his first win of the season improving to 1-3.
Trent Idema earned the save pitching three innings with three hits and one earned run.
In the second game the Raiders trailed 3-1 until the 5
th when they took a one run lead in the 5
th scoring 4 runs and then added another in the 6
th to go up three. The Monarchs rallied putting up two runs in the 6
th to narrow the Raider lead to just one, but a scoreless seventh resulted in a Raider win.
Dakota Smith earned the win, his first, for GRCC.
Grant Erbes earned the save. No one on the team recorded more than one hit.
Brayman led the team in RBI with 2.
Brown and Grant Erbes each finished with one RBI.
GRCC will resume conference play on Tuesday the 18
th with a double header at Lansing Community College starting at 2PM. GRCC is currently third in the MCCAA West at 10-2—tied for conference wins with second place Kalamazoo Valley. Kellogg Community College remains on top of the league with an 8-0 record.
