Box Score 2 Grand Rapids, Mich – The Raider baseball team took two from Glen Oaks' Vikings yesterday 4-3 and 11-1.
Sam Cunningham picked up his first win as a starter in 2017 pitching six innings allowing 4 hits and two earned runs with 4 walks and six strikeouts.
Michael Casterline earned the save facing two batters while allowing no hits or runs.
Jacob Augustyn finished the first game batting 3-of-4 with two RBI and a double.
Josh Robbins and
Adrian Regueiro also recorded doubles. Robbins went 1-for-2 with an RBI and a strikeout. Regueiro finished 1-for-3 with one run.
The Vikings Santos Catanzarite took the 3-4 loss.
In the second game GRCC's poured on the runs downing the Vikings 11-1 in six innings starting with a first inning three-run bomb by
Alec Overbeek. Overbeek finished the game hitting 2-for-3 with 5 RBI and one run striking out once.
Dalton Phillips hit 4-for-4 with 3 RBI and three runs scored. Josh Robbins went 2-for-3 taking one walk while batting in three and scoring two runs.
Glen Oaks' Brandon Lewis knocked in the Vikings lone run finishing the day batting 2-of-3 with one RBI.
Jacob Land took the loss for Glen Oaks allowing six hits, six earned runs and three walks with five strikeouts in 4.1 innings. Alex Auito's inning allowed four earned run after 5 hits with two walks and no Ks.
Bruce Buurstra earned the win, his second of the season for the Raiders, striking out five of 24 batters while allowing seven hits with no earned runs.
The Raiders next visit Kalamazoo Valley on April 1
st for a pair of games starting at 1PM.
