Box Score Lansing, MI. -- Jeffrey Drake-Todd's incredible performance was still not enough to overcome Lansing's hot shooting. The 14th ranked Stars out dueled the Raiders on Wednesday night 118-106.
GRCC started the game on an 8-0 run. That was the Raiders largest lead of the game.
"They had three big guys that presented matchup problems for us. We knew that going into the game and they shot 52 percent from three."
Jeffrey Drake-Todd, the National Player of the Week selection for his play last week, had another outstanding performance with 48 points including 10 three pointers and 5 assists.
"Jeff has been hot and we're hoping that he can keep it going," said head coach Luke Bronkema. "He's been putting in some extra work. Jeff goes hard all the time, and it's unusual when he's not going hard. "
"My team had confidence in me and told me to shoot the ball so by them putting their faith in me I just wanted to give my all," said Drake-Todd.
Arthur Pearson finished with 19 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals.
Zachary Pangborn chipped in 11 points and
Corey Jones added 10 points and 6 rebounds.
LCC shot 50 percent from the field, as well as 52.2 percent from the three point stripe. GRCC shot 41.5 percent from the field and 38.7 percent from long range.
"We have to keep a positive attitude, practice hard and get ready for Glen Oaks on Friday," said Bronkema. "We beat them last time, and definitely don't want to look past them."
GRCC's next game is against Glen Oaks this Friday at the Ford Fieldhouse at 7:30 pm.
