GRCC Faces Jackson College on Sophomore Night as Post Season Approaches

Grand Rapids, MI. -- It will be Sophomore Night for the Raiders as they conclude their conference play at Hunsberger Arena against the Jackson College Jets.

The Men last played Jackson on February 1st, winning on the road 84-77, while the Women lost 64-55. A lot is on the line for both teams tonight. Here are the different postseason scenarios for both teams.

Postseason is right around the corner and both the Women's and Men's teams are fighting for either a spot in the tournament or positioning.

The Women currently sit tied for 7th in the conference with Jackson College with 6-11 records. Whomever wins the game will clinch the final spot in next week's District G Tournament. That game will take place Tuesday, March 7th and most likely be at Lake Michigan College.

The Men (who already clinched a playoff spot) currently sit tied for 4th in the conference with Mid-Michigan College with 10-7 records. Jackson sits just one game behind the Raiders and the Lakers in the conference with a 9-8 record.  The Raiders defeated Jackson back on February 1st by a score of 84-77.  If the home team is victorious and Mid-Michigan loses at 18th ranked Lansing Community College, the Raiders will earn the 4 seed in next week's tournament. The 4 seed will be hosting the number 5 seed on Tuesday, March 7th.  A loss for GRCC guarantees a road game at either the 4 seed or 3 seed.
