Box Score Grand Rapids, MICH – GRCC's #3 ranked volleyball team delivered a 3-0 win on Homecoming night defeating Lake Michigan College 25-9, 25-11, and 25-9 earning their 15^th conference win while improving to 22-1 overall.

Lena Thompson led the charge for GRCC with 10 kills.  Kendra DeJonge finished with 8.  Peyton Helsen led the team in digs with 22 and had 15 service receptions without an error.  Kayla Salyer's 6 blocks were the team's high.  Autumn Severn finished the night with 4 service aces and a team best 16 assists.

Last night's contest also celebrated the team's sophomores as the game was the last regular season contest those women played.  Sophomores Lena Thompson, Lauren Helsen, Peyton Helsen, Hailey DeKorte and Hannah Stearns contributions to this season are undeniable as the team is ranked third in the nation and preparing for MCCAA State Championship, and NJCAA District F play.

GRCC has just one more regular season contest remaining as they travel to Jackson College on Tuesday, October 24^th for a 6:30 PM matchup with the 2-13 Jets.  Four days later, Grand Rapids Community College hosts the MCCAA State Championship where the MCCAA's best will square off for the MCCAA Title. The Raiders will play either Oakland CC or Mott CC in the semis at noon.
