Grand Rapids, MI -- The Grand Rapids Community College men's basketball team was defeated by Mid Michigan Community College 87-72 on Friday night at the Ford Fieldhouse.
Jeffrey Drake-Todd finished with 17 points and four assists. All 17 of his points were in the second half. Arthur Pearson finished with 15 points and four assists. Bryce Elliot added four three-pointers for 12 points. Zachary Pangborn added 10 points.
"They came out with a lot of enthusiasm," said head coach Luke Bronkema. "We came out very flat like we were just going through the motions."
MMCC's three point shooting was too much for GRCC. MMCC shot 40 percent from the three- point line compared to GRCC who shot just 29 percent from the three-point line.
MMCC's Mikhail Myles finished with the game high 30 points, which included six, deep three-pointers.
"We need to improve on better shot quality, getting back on defense, and getting defensive stops," said Jeff Drake-Todd.
GRCC men's basketball team's next game is against Jackson Community College on Wednesday, February 1 at Jackson at 7:30.
