Following him in points was Freshman Forward Corey Jones with 11, while finishing with 14 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. Leading the team in assists was Sophomore Guard Jeffrey Drake-Todd with four. He also finished with 10 points, four steals and two rebounds.

The Raiders will travel south tonight for a MCCAA-West conference game against rival Kalamazoo Valley (7-10, 1-5 MCCAA-W). GRCC will continue to look for strong guard play from Pearson (19.3 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 4.3 apg) and Drake-Todd (18.4 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 4.2 apg). Coach Luke Bronkema is still looking for the right combination in the front court, however, he doesn't lack the pieces. Four of the big men are contributing in a variety of ways. Corey Jones (11.1 ppg, 10.1 rpg), Maxwell Prendergast (9.3 ppg, 10.4 rpg) and Darron Ewing Jr. (10.5 ppg, 9.6 rpg) all are either averaging a double double or close to it. A.J. Whittaker rounds out the front court with length and athleticism. Whittaker has scored double figures in two of his six games played, after returning to the team in January.
The Cougars of KVCC are led by sophomore guard Donny Lewis (17.2 ppg, 6.3 rpg). Lewis is the top rebounder for the Cougars, a matchup the Raiders will look to exploit in tonights matchup with the before mentioned stellar rebounders GRCC deploys. Second chance points and points in the paint will be key stats to look for if the Raiders hope to have success tonight.
Game time is 7:30PM at Kalamazoo Valley Community College
