Dayton, OH – GRCC's 2-13 Raider baseball team travels to Dayton, OH to face a tough Sinclair team for three nine inning games between Friday and Saturday. The Raiders will then face Owens Community College on Saturday for one nine inning game as well.
By splitting his squad, head coach Mike Cupples has doubled the number of contests his young team can compete in this weekend.
"This trip provides our team the opportunity to maximize playing time for younger players. Our pitchers need more innings and experience to be successful in this Region, and we're excited to play two quality teams that we could face later on this season" , said Cupples.
Both Sinclair and Owens are very solid teams.
Sinclair enters the contest against GRCC with a 12-3 record having won five straight games since dropping one to Kellogg Community College on March 14
th. Owens Community College (5-2) will take on the Raiders on Saturday at 1:30PM.
