Box Score Grand Rapids, Mich -- The Grand Rapids Community College Volleyball team concluded their regular season on Nov. 3rd by defeating Muskegon Community College 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 22-25, 25-18). After starting the season 4-9 the GRCC Raiders reeled off 14 victories in a row to finish the season with an 18-9 overall record, and an 11-3 conference mark, second in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association – Western Conference. The top three teams in the MCCAA Eastern and Western conferences have clinched spots in this weekend's (Nov. 6-8) MCCAA/District Region XII District E Tournament, hosted by Muskegon Community College. GRCC opens the double elimination tournament against Oakland Community College on Friday night (Nov. 6) at Muskegon Reeths Puffer High School. The match is set to begin at 5:00 p.m.

The winner of the tournament will be crowned MCCAA Champion and will advance to the NJCAA Division II National Tournament hosted by Phoenix (AZ) College in Phoenix, AZ (Nov. 19-21). 

GRCC is looking for their sixth straight trip to Nationals and eighth in the past nine years.  The Raiders won the national championship in 2012.
