Grand Rapids, Mich – GRCC's men's basketball team lost a tough game to Lake Michigan College rallying from a 19 point deficit in the first half, 25-44, to lose by just 6 points outscoring the Redhawks 61-48 in the second half.
The Raiders were led by
Cameron Burhannon (Indianapolis, IN) and
Calvin Ward III (Dallas, TX) who scored 24 and 21 points, respectively. Ward finished the night with team-high 11 rebounds earning the double-double while Burhannon's 8 rebounds were paired with two steals.
DeMarkus Stuckey (Saginaw, MI) and
Gregory Fleming (Chicago, IL) combined for 34 points and 11 rebounds. Flemming led the team in assists with 6.
The Raider's poor first half shooting was too much to overcome. GRCC shot just 40% overall while the Redhawks finished the night at 63%.
Lake Michigan was led by Lebradford Sebree who scored 33 points shooting 14-of-19 from the field while adding 6 rebounds to his rap sheet.
GRCC's hosts the MCCAA West's #5 in Kalamazoo Valley Community College tonight at 7:30PM. Kalamazoo Valley is 3-3 in MCCAA play and 8-11 overall this season.
