Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Kankakee, IL – Grand Rapids Community College's softball team split the contests on Saturday with a 8-5 win over the College of Lake County (IL) and a loss to #11 Kankakee Community College, 2-16.

Billie Jo DeLisle picked up the win for the Raiders—her first of the season—pitching seven innings allowing 10 hits, 4 earned runs while striking out 3. 

Amber Frye led the Raiders offensively going 2-of-3 with two home runs and 6 RBI.

Kankakee Commnity College had the Raiders number ending the game in five innings 16-2.  The Raiders only had four hits in the contest as Kankakee's Erin Gaston struck out 9. Ingrid Kukla struggled in four innings giving up 12 hits and 10 earned runs earning her second loss of the season.

The Raiders face Kishwaukee College (IL) at 11AM EST Sunday March 30, 2014.
