Box Score Mt. Pleasant, Mich – Grand Rapids Community College's men's basketball team starts the new year with a cool 82-75 win over Mid-Michigan Community College extending their win streak to two. The Raiders are now 6-3 overall and anxious for conference play.
Leading the Raiders was sophomore standout
Deontae Hudson who finished the contest with 30 points and 12 rebounds. Hudson was 15-22 from the field and recorded 22 of those points in the second half.
Freshman
DeMarkus Stuckey added 16 points on the night shooting 4-of-6 from behind the arc adding two assists and one steal in 39 minutes of play.

Cameron Burhannon finished with 9 points and seven rebounds and
Courtney Hill added 11 points and three assists.
Arthur Pearson led the Raiders in assists with 6.
Mid-Michigan was led by Trevor Gernaat and Erick Layton each scoring 23 points on the night.
The loss was the only the Lakers' third at home this season and leaves Mid-Michigan at 5-11 overall this season.
GRCC men's and women's teams travel to Battle Creek, MI on January 8
th to face the Bruins of Kellogg Community College with games starting at 5:30PM for the women and 7:30PM for the men.
The 1-7 Lady Raiders are looking to start the 2014 right against the 7-5 Bruins in their first contest against and MCCAA opponent.
GRCC's men, now 6-3, face a 1-12 Bruin squad looking to end a five game losing streak.
