Grand Rapids, MI—Having freshly qualified for post season play, the Raiders are hoping to either hold their fourth place slot in the west or climb into the third place slot to keep home court advantage. The Raiders clinched the berth with a win over Muskegon on Wednesday afternoon, and are riding a three game winning streak heading into the weekend.

The Raiders head to Donaldson, Indiana on Saturday to take on the Ancilla College Chargers. Though the Chargers have been having a tumultuous season, they’ve recently picked up a huge win.

Ancilla recently downed Kalamazoo Valley Community College by a score of 74-70. Raiders fans will recognize this as a huge feat, the Cougars having dealt GRCC their only loss in the last five games by a score of 85-73. KVCC currently holds the third place spot in the MCCAA’s Western Conference.

The only other conference win the Chargers have earned this season came against Lake Michigan College earlier this season, another team contending for a playoff spot.

Despite their less than stellar overall record, Rosey Green and Demetrius Adams have been creating some trouble for opposing teams. The duo has been combining for an average of over 30 points per game this season.

The Raiders head to Ancilla on Saturday and take to the court at 7:30 PM.
