The road leading back to a grudge match against the Raiders for Kellogg was due to a loss to Macomb CC 15-3 ealier today to take their first loss in the Region XII Tournament, placing both KCC and GRCC in an elimination game.
GRCC's
Bryce Baker pitched eight fantastic innings giving up only one run on seven hits while striking out four batters.

Carlos Berroa who went 2 for 4 with with one RBI.
Ron Sanders and
Steve Ayala both batted one in for the Raiders.
GRCC faces Macomb CC tomorrow at 12:00 PM following their win against Kellogg. Should the Raiders win, they will face Macomb again at 4:00 PM to earn a chance to play in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament in Enid, OK.
GRCC faced Macomb on April 28th where the two teams split. Macomb's Clatterbuck took a win in the first game while
Anthony Alarcon took the loss. In the second game GRCC took the win as
David Frederick and
Eric Musselman combined for only six hits with seven strike outs.
After a long tournament for both teams, one can't predict who might take the mound, but given the results of the tournament for both teams, it is safe to expect that the lineups will deliver from the batter's box. Macomb has scored 37 runs in their last three games while GRCC's sent home 38 in the four they played.
However it shakes out, expect a battle--maybe two.
