The Raiders defeated Milligan College 6-3 to conclude their matches on Hilton Head Island. The victory was GRCC's 4th in their last 5 matches but the outcome could have gone either way. Four of the nine matches ended in tie-breakers with the Raiders securing three of them.
Matt Jackson won both his singles and doubles matches in tie-breakers by pairing up withAndrew Amante at #3 doubles and playing #6 singles. Although Amante lost his singles match against Milligan at #4, he leads the Raiders with a 10-3 mark for the week. Keith Lannon won in both 3rd singles and 1st doubles with Casey Feenstra and the duo have a 5-2 doubles record on the trip. Ben Esh-Nauta won his 5th singles match in a row by beating Sebastian Jonsson 6-2, 6-1 at #2 singles. Clayton Hodge also won his 3rd singles match in a row at #5 singles and is 8-4 this week.
The Raiders begin their trek home and stop in Mars Hill, NC for their final match on the trip. Mars Hill defeated Milligan 9-0 last month so the Raiders have their work cut out for them.
