Kalamazoo, MI-- The Raiders are now 13-7 on the season after Sophomore
Jared Mysliwiec exploded offensively and led his squad to a 77-64 victory over the KVCC Cougars on Saturday. The guys have now won 3 straight ball games, and are 8-2 in conference play. And with that 8th win of the conference it guarantees the Raiders can finish no less than .500, which means they clinched a berth in this years District Tournament.
Mysliwiec and company continued their dominance over KVCC this season, with
Jared nearly doubling his average offensive output for the season. With 27 points on the night he led his team in scoring, while teammate
Micah Gates added another 18 points and nabbed 11 boards to post yet another double-double.
The effort gives
Mysliwiec an average of 15.0 points per game in conference play, 0.1 per game fewer than
Gates. The two have been solid this season, and will be counted on for more strong play down the stretch.
Tim Scott led the Cougars efforts, grabbing 12 boards and posting 14 points. Fellow Cougars Daeq Mitchell-Fields and Chris Ray posted 18 points and 10 points respectively.
