Lansing, MI – The first and second place teams in the MCCAA West are slated to face off today at 3:00 PM as the #1 Lansing Stars host the #2 Grand Rapids Raiders.  The Stars are 7-0 in conference play and 11-10 overall riding a 7 game winning streak. 

The Stars are led in scoring by Nate Duhon who averages 16 points per game with 5 rebounds, and Skyelar Moore with 14 points per game.

The Raiders dropped their last two games to Jackson Community College and Glen Oaks Community College, but are still holding the number two spot with 5-2 record in conference play and 10-7 overall. 

The Raiders are led in scoring by Alex Lyle who has averaged 16 points per game, but Jared Mysliwiec has posted some impressive figures since joining the team for the second half of the season as well. 

Micah Gates’ play will also be critical as the Raiders head to our capitol city.  Gates is averaging 12 points with 10 boards this season.

During the 2011-2012 season, GRCC has averaged 74 points per game and allowed 70 while Lansing has averaged 80 and allowed 71.

Both teams will have high expectations for their players coming off the bench and will need to control their turnovers to increase their chances of walking away with a win.
