Grand Rapids, MI—The Raiders knocked off the Lake Michigan College Indians in three straight sets Thursday night, winning 25-13, 25-18, and 25-10. The win puts them at a record of 8-1 for the season.

“Alexis Rutter led the charge” said Coach Chip Will. “She was almost perfect.”"“She’s been great for us all season, but tonight she really stood out.”

The team performed exceptionally well on the defense, and received 8 digs from Alexis Rutter and 5 digs fromKarleigh Strazesar. They also looked completely dominant on the offense.

“It seemed like Kelsey Darling hit 1000 balls. I don’t think they got a single dig from her” added Will. Darlingled the team with 7 kills, and teammate Hannah Geelhoed followed with 6.

The team plays next when they travel to Kalamazoo Tuesday night to take on the KVCC Cougars. Currently ranked at third in the nation, the team hopes to continue their strong play.
