Battle Creek, MI--The Raiders continue to prove that they are serious contenders for the NJCAA Region XII Tournament Championship. GRCC has now won three straight games after losing the first game of the tournament to the Cuyahoga CC Challengers, and will advance to the Finals of the Loser’s Bracket.
Cuyahoga dealt Grand Rapids their only loss of the tournament last Friday during the first day of play. It was a hard fought 2-1 victory for Cuyahoga who enter the Loser’s Bracket after being defeated by the hometown Kellogg CC Bruins. The Raiders were able to put the loss behind them and beat the Challengers this time around.
Eric Musselman powered the Raiders to a close 3-2 victory over the Challengers. Grand Rapids will advance to the finals of the Loser’s Bracket to take on the Muskegon CC Jayhawks today at 1:30 PM. The winner of the game will face Kellogg CC in the championship round of the tournament.
