Holland, MI- The Raiders brought their record to an even 3-3 with a victory over Hope College’s Flying Dutchmen on Thursday. The squad won by a narrow margin of 75-69, and received strong play across the board.

Leading the team was Alex Lyle with 23 points and Arik Hesselink with 18. Freshman Micah Gates posted 12 rebounds and 4 steals, and teammate T.J. McCutcheon added 7 more steals. Matt Parisi led the Flying Dutchmen with 24 points.

Lyle and Hesselink now lead the team with point per game averages of 18.5 and 15.5 respectively. McCutcheon leads the team with 18 steals on the season and Gates has posted a whopping 57 rebounds. Coach Carnegie will look to them for continued support throughout the season.

The win was the second straight for the Raiders, and it appears that their confidence is building. The guys take the court next on Monday when they take on the Aquinas Saints JV squad before heading to the Lynn Conway Memorial Tournament to take on Mid-Michigan Community College.
