Grand Rapids, MI-- The GRCC Raiders earned a key victory, and have all but clinched the MCCAA Western Conference Championship.The teams overall record improved to 23-5 after defeating the Jayhawks in 3 sets.
A full crowd was in attendance to support their Raiders for the final regular season home match, a match that would mark sophomores

Alexis Rutter, and
Meghan Veldheer's final regular season match in the Ford Fieldhouse.During their time with the team, the Raiders earned a daunting 56-8 record.
The last time the two teams met, Muskegon dealt GRCC their only conference lost. This time the Raiders appeared extremely confident, and defeated Muskegon 25-14, 25-20, 25-16. Though the scores show a somewhat close match, Grand Rapids dominated play from beginning to end. The Raiders home court advantage proved to be a huge factor in this key win, and both the GRCC baseball team and football team turned out to show their support.

Kelsey Darling led the squad with 9 kills, while
Karleigh Strazesar and
Molly Maynard each had 8.
Kaitlyn Wolters was at the top of her game, and posted 33 assists.The Raiders have now won 7 straight, and should move up considerably in the national polls.
The team will take to the road to battle Ancilla and Jackson CC for their final 2 matches of the season. From November 4-6 the the NJCAA Region XII tournament will be held in the Ford Fieldhouse.
