GRCC’s Men’s Basketball team defeats Glen Oaks Community College 83-78. The win increases GRCC’s record to 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the MCCAA West. The Raiders were led by their 6’1 sophomore gaurd Quinntrai Lampkins scoring 19 points with four assists and 6’2 Freshman guard Alex Lyle who came off the bench to contribute 19 points for the Raiders going 4-6 from three point range and 5-6 from the line. Glen Oaks Community College’s Ernie McCoy, Kurklin Bohano, and Charles Hearn combined for 63 points, 20 rebounds and 9 assists for the Vikings, but by the game’s end, the Raider’s bench delivered 39 points to the Viking’s 8—a major factor in the Raider’s win. The Raiders face the Muskegon Community College Jayhawks Friday January 14, 2011 at 7:30pm at the GRCC Gerald R. Ford Fieldhouse.
