Siegel's opening round of the 2012 season, his sophomore season, was one to remember. Scoring a 75 and 70 respectively at the Indiana Wesleyan University Invitational, Siegel's play kept GRCC in a position to leave Indiana with a second place finish against a field of all four-year colleges and universities.
Prior to playing at GRCC, Siegel was an All-State golfer from Sparta High School in Sparta, Michigan. At GRCC in 2011-2012, he earned MCCAA All-Conference honors and led GRCC with the team's lowest scoring average. Between his freshman and sophomore seasons, Siegel worked at the Meadows Golf Course where he was able to improve his game in preparation for his final season as a Raider.
This 2012 season looks to be a breakout season for him. Siegel plans to attend Grand Valley State University in the fall of 2013 where he hopes to continue to play golf with his brother, who is a member of the Laker's team.
