Sam has been a great runner for GRCC for the past two seasons. Last year he helped the Raiders finish within the top-25 and looking to this year Sam had big goals set. For the 2018 season Sam has broken the men's 8k record twice, the second being his personal best with a time of 25:54.9. That time places his name as the official school record holder replacing his teammates time set earlier this season. His leadership throughout the season was also rewarded after the NJCAA National Championship race when Sam was recognized as a 2018 NJCAA All-American, the first in cross country program history! His humility and team spirit makes him a tremendous athlete, always shining the spotlight back on his teammates for helping push him. The team as a whole secured their second top-20 finish this season and is excited about what is to come for the 2019 season.
