Shelby Ruffner earns Athlete of the Month honors this week for her tremendous play during the first twelve contest of the season. Ruffner, a freshman middle blocker from Chesterton, IN, has recorded 78 kills thus far is 2013 with 12 coming in three sets against Iowa Central Community College where she also added two aces and two blocks. Defensively Ruffner has given opponents fits as she has tallied 37 blocks to her rap sheet already.
